Refund and cancellation policy.
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for Map & Mend services. In general, work that has not yet begun may be canceled for a refund, and work that has already been delivered is non-refundable. If a written proposal or agreement includes different refund or cancellation terms, that proposal or agreement applies.
If you have a concern about completed work, please contact me so I can review the issue and address it where appropriate.

Clarity Review.
The Clarity Review is a flat-fee service paid in advance.
- If you cancel before work has begun, the fee will be refunded in full, minus any non-refundable payment processing fees where applicable.
- Once the review has been delivered, it is non-refundable because the work has been completed.
- If the delivered review does not match the agreed scope, contact me and I will correct it.
Audits, cleanup, and larger projects.
Audits, Site & Search Cleanup, and larger projects begin with a written proposal or agreement that explains the scope, timeline, deliverables, and payment terms.
- If you cancel before work begins, any deposit or advance payment is refundable, minus any time already spent on scoping, planning, scheduling, or other agreed preparation work.
- If you cancel after work has begun, you are responsible for the work completed up to that point. Any unearned balance will be refunded.
- I will provide a clear summary of the work completed at the time of cancellation.
Ongoing monthly support.
Maintain, the ongoing monthly support plan, is billed month to month. You may cancel ongoing support by email before the next billing date, and you will not be billed for the following month.
The current month is not prorated or refunded because that time has already been reserved for your work.
Requesting a refund or cancellation.
To request a refund or cancel a service, email sarah@mapandmend.com with your name, the service you purchased, and what you would like to do. I will respond within 3 business days.
If you are not satisfied with the work, please contact me first. In most cases, concerns can be reviewed and resolved.
