This policy explains what information Map & Mend collects, why it is collected, and how it is used. It is written in plain language so you can understand what happens when you visit the site, contact me, or hire me.
The short version: Map & Mend collects only what is needed to run the site, respond to inquiries, provide services, process payments, and improve the experience. I do not sell or rent your personal information.

What I collect.
There is no account to create and no login on this site, so the information collected is limited.
- When you email me, I collect your name, email address, and whatever information you choose to include in your message.
- When you visit the site and accept analytics cookies, basic usage information may be collected through Microsoft Clarity, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors move through the site, and general device and browser details.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site, may collect standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and security-related information needed to keep the site running.
- If you make a purchase, payment information is handled by HubSpot and Stripe. I do not see or store your full card number.
I do not buy personal data from third parties or use advertising trackers.
How I use it.
I use the information collected to respond to questions and inquiries, provide the services you hire me for, process payments, understand and improve the site, and keep the site secure and functioning properly.
I do not use your information for unrelated marketing, profiling, or resale.
Who else sees it.
I do not sell or rent your information. To operate Map & Mend, I use a small number of service providers who receive only the information needed to perform their services.
These may include Microsoft Clarity for site analytics, Cloudflare for hosting and security, HubSpot for managing inquiries and customer information, and Stripe for payment processing.
I may also disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.
How your information is protected.
I use reasonable measures to protect the information I hold. That said, no method of sending information over the internet or storing it electronically is completely secure, so I cannot promise it is absolutely safe.
Map & Mend operates in the United States, and the service providers above process information in the US. If you contact me from outside the US, your information will be handled there.
Your choices and rights.
You can ask what information I have about you, request a correction or deletion, or ask me to stop contacting you. To make a request, email sarah@mapandmend.com.
Depending on where you live, including under privacy laws such as the GDPR in the UK and EU or the CCPA in California, you may have additional rights related to your personal information. You can contact me at the same email address to ask about those rights.
Children's privacy.
Map & Mend's website and services are meant for businesses and adults. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you think a child has sent me information, contact me and I will delete it.
Keeping it, changing it, asking about it.
I keep information only as long as needed to provide services, respond to inquiries, maintain business records, meet legal obligations, and keep the site secure.
If this policy changes, I will update the date on this page. Any material changes will be made clearly.
